Who Mediation Is For

• Parents seeking child-focused resolutions
• Families wanting to avoid litigation
• Matters requiring financial clarity before settlement
• Clients working alongside legal counsel

Working Alongside Legal Counsel

Clearpoint works in coordination with legal counsel when clients are represented. Lawyers may attend mediation, while Clearpoint facilitates neutral, settlement-focused discussions and documents agreed outcomes for legal review.

Family Mediation Services

Clearpoint Family Mediation provides structured, non-adversarial mediation services for families navigating separation, parenting decisions, and related disputes. Our approach is settlement-focused, neutral, and designed to support informed decision-making and durable outcomes. Clearpoint works in parallel with legal and other professionals as appropriate, while maintaining clear role boundaries and encouraging independent legal advice where required.

Mediation services at Clearpoint are delivered by accredited family mediators operating within clear professional scope. In some matters, mediation may be conducted directly by the Executive Director, alongside her organizational oversight responsibilities.

Preparation and Aftercare Programs

Clearpoint also offers structured pre-mediation preparation and post-resolution aftercare programming for families who want additional readiness and skills support. These programs are available both to Clearpoint clients and to individuals referred by lawyers or counsellors who are working with other mediators.

This responds to a common service gap: public resources often provide valuable information and education, but clients frequently benefit from practical, skills-based preparation and follow-through supports that are not consistently available across the system.
